Was tasked to create a series of illustrations to help the introduce the products service offerings to the primary users. This effort was part of a large scale product goal to redesign the entire product user interface, and align the core components to the global design system which was still in it’s infancy.
Rough drafts and ideation to establish and get a feel of the overall composition.
I created a base 96×96 px base icon grid that can be scaled easily in 2×2 or 3×2 units with our esstablised scale. The reason for this was this set of illustrations would not scale below 128px.
The grid units made it easier to work out how the basic primitives should fit and align on the grid the scales applied were 1, 4, 8, 12…. and in some cases adjusting via the ancient glorious “time-tested” eyeballing method for visual balance.
Made full use of the product colour palette, added an extended palette which was made up of shades and tints from the original palette.
